Did you know that January 22nd is Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day? If not, you aren’t alone. This cute kitty holiday may not be very well known, but we’re pretty sure that Fluffy won’t lose any sleep over that. If your pet could ask questions, what do you think she’d want to know about? A Grayson, GA vet offers some suggestions below.
Why Can’t I Play With That?
Kitties are quite formidable little hunters in the wild, and are more or less programmed to, well, attack things. However, you may very well find your pet playing with something that isn’t safe, like a rubber band or a plastic wrapper. Don’t be surprised if Fluffy gives you a reproachful little meow when you take her ‘toy’ away.
What Happened To My Sunbeam?
Do you often find your feline buddy sprawled out in a sunbeam? We suspect the answer to that one is yes. Fluffy loves to charge her ‘catteries’ by sunbathing!
Why Is The Dog So Weird?
Although some of our feline patients have made friends with their canine roommates, they don’t necessarily understand them. Not only do Fluffy and Fido not speak the same language, they also have wildly differing opinions on things like car rides, belly rubs, and bacon.
Why Do You Close The Door?
Kitties are very curious, if not downright nosy. These little furballs often like to keep a very close eye on their humans. Fluffy may even try to follow you into the bathroom, and may not quite understand why you don’t let her in with you.
Why Can’t I Go Out?
Cats are definitely safer staying inside, where they aren’t exposed to threats posed by traffic, weather, and other hazards. However, if you tell your feline pal that, she’ll probably just meow at you.
Why Don’t You Appreciate My Gifts?
If you do let your furball go outdoors, she may try to thank you by bringing you presents. In the old days, people were very appreciative of Fluffy’s hunting skills. Nowadays? Not so much.
Where Did My Toys Go?
We’ve never done an official poll on this, but we wouldn’t be surprised to find that many of you have little piles of cat toys underneath your sofas.
